For families
Scholarships based on need.
A student can receive a scholarship from the Fund in any state whose scholarship granting organization list includes us. Applications will open in 2027 in the states that list us.

Who can apply
A student can receive a scholarship from the Fund if the student:
- is in kindergarten through grade 12 and is eligible to enroll in a public school;
- lives in a state whose scholarship granting organization list includes the Fund; and
- is in a household whose income for the prior calendar year is at or below 300% of the area median gross income.
How we verify income
We verify household income before any award, using documents such as pay stubs, tax returns, IRS transcripts, or Forms W-2, or proof that a household member currently participates in SNAP, TANF, WIC, Section 8 housing, or SSI.
What a scholarship pays for
Scholarships pay qualified education expenses, mainly tuition and fees, and we pay the school directly. No award exceeds the student's remaining qualified expenses. Families reapply each year.
Who is first in line
We follow the order section 25F sets. First come students who received our scholarship the previous school year. Next come their brothers and sisters, including adopted, foster, half-, and step-siblings. After that, awards are based on financial need. How awards are made.
